Resident greeted by sight of damp laundry the moment he steps out of lift
STOMPer Francis is annoyed by the sight of laundry hung out to dry directly outside the lift by his new neighbour.
Said the STOMPer:
"Every night, returning home after a stressful day of work, when my lift opens at my floor, my first welcome home message was a gust of laundry fragrance from this half0dry laundry right in front of me.
"Some nights I am greeted by the sight of underwear.
"I have been living in my flat for close to 10 years and this is the first time I have experienced this phenomenon.
"I was informed that the occupant of this HDB unit is a new citizen and was also told that the Town Council had visited the unit but the situation remained unchanged."

What u can do, bring your kitchen out to your corridor next to their laundry. Cook a big pot of curry, stew for a long long time low heat!

I believe most of us have neighbors like that..these people come from 3rd world countries, who can expect them to behave otherwise? Unless its overboard, just ignore it la

The Town Council must make a stand against all those pactices. The police may have to assist in some cases.

we are also experiencing the same type if neighbor as you. we have been seeking help from town council and even to MP. The situation will improve but back to square one after a week or two. my neighbour puts spoilt bicycles, big wardrobe, chairs, big plant pots, even big laundry stand with laundry containing foul smell. underwear, socks always fall all over the place. makes the whole place smells and feel like garbage. IRRITATING.

It's outside their house so why complain? Maybe the person is not used to high rise and it's dangerous for her to hang the clothes outside using poles or maybe they afraid the maid fall off. There must be a reason why they place the clothes there so try to understand . Don't complain and live in harmony. I believe if you need help your neighbour will Definately lend a hand.
