Resident of Geylang East frustrated with rubbish pile left at lift lobby for weeks
STOMPer Alice in wonderland is frustrated that nothing has been done about the growing mess at Geylang East.
Alice in wonderland said:
"I took these photos today at 8.30am.
"They were taken at block 124 and 125, Geylang East Avenue 1, lift lobby.
"Are the cleaners, town council staff and members on national day leave?
"This mess has been there for 2-3 weeks.
"I have called NEA and the Town Council but nothing has been done about the rubbish.
"What is the root cause ?
"This issue has not been resolved and seems like nobody bothers.
"Where is the effort to educate amd punish the culprit?
"Where is the effort to improve the cleaning standard?
"$50 conservancy charges per household from the whole block of flats but we still cannot get quality cleaners?"

Call TC, make sure to ask for officer name who responded to your call to ensure he or she will take action.

I believe Town Council would remove them within a few days, but who are those inconsiderate residents who treat the area as dumpling ground in the first place??
