Motorcyclist lies on road with leg 'bent awkwardly' after accident in Tampines

A motorcyclist was found with his leg bent in an awkward position while his pillion passenger suffered a cut on her face after they were involved in an accident with a car near Tampines Street 43, reports STOMPer Irfan.

The STOMPer wrote:

"I was at home when I heard a sudden bang coming from Tampines Street 43 at around 8.37pm earlier (Aug 12).

"When I went out to help, I saw a guy lying near his motorcycle on the road, with his leg bent awkwardly.

"There was also a girl who was with him and she had a big cut on her face.

"A car was stopped nearby but the driver didn't seem to be injured.

"It was then that I heard from bystanders that the car was intending to turn right, out of Tampines Street 43, when the motorcycle sped up in hope of overtaking the car.

"But, the motorcycle wasn't fast enough and apparently, the back of the car hit the motorcycle.

"There was a Traffic Police officer on scene and about 10 minutes later, an ambulance came to take the two to hospital."

That place the road is all uneven. Make LTA to ans part of it. They keep digging and digging those roads we need to use on. I don't think the bike is not fast enough, this post is not so accurate.

Even though the motorcylist is right, he suffers. When he's wrong, he still suffers. And when he skips, he also will suffer. So, give up riding motorcycle.

I think the stomper was not blaming anyone. Like mentioned accidents do happen anywhere. but with safe riding and driving, accidents can be prevented. Many a time, riders have rode precariously, be it with a male or female pillion. so just let this be a lesson learnt to ALL motorists to always ride n drive safely. Let's not let feelings affects our thinking or start pointing fingers. I believe the one who's at fault in fact knows who's really to be blamed. May the rider and pillion recover and be well.
