Police investigating S'pore woman over China flag hung at Hougang block
A 54-year-old Singaporean woman is being investigated by the police over a China flag that was hung over the parapet of a Hougang block last Saturday.
The flag was first spotted by a STOMPer, who sent in the photo to STOMP.
According to a report on The Straits Times, the woman was quizzed in connection with an offence under the National Emblems (Control of Display) Act. However, she was not arrested.
The public display of state flags of nations other than Singapore requires an exception to be granted under the same Act. Those who fail to do so can be subjected to a six-month jail term, be fined up to $500 or both.

This is crazy so you get arrested for flying another flag? This is the 21st century !!! Hope London 2012 Olympics have the same rule about the Singapore flag?
