A family bid farewell to rusty pipes covered with grease and worn out flooring inside a dimly-lit home after their Circuit Road HDB flat went through a 'rejuvenation' process.
The apartment went from a tiny living space for six people -- of which two of them end up sleeping in the living room every night -- to a comfortable home that even allowed for a private study area for 15-year-old student Suryani.
Local design partnership KNQ Associates helped make life better for the family by tearing down a wall to provide more room for the family to gather and then turned one bedroom into two smaller rooms.
The apartment was also given a new paintjob of vibrant colours to bring about a positive mood.
