STOMPer Reeve was annoyed that a group of passers-by were more interested in getting a glimpse of the license plate numbers of two vehicles involved in an accident at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3, instead of going forward to help.
The STOMPer wrote:
"I was at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 just a while ago this afternoon (Jun 21) and saw a Singapore post motorcycle that was involved in an accident with a blue-coloured car.
"The bike was badly damaged but I didn't see the motorcyclist in the area -- I think he may have been sent to the hospital already.
"Traffic in the area was congested as a lot of people gathered there and were busy looking for the car plate number to buy 4D.
"I don't think it's right that these people are more concerned about getting a lucky set of numbers than helping out the injured motorcyclist."
According to the Singapore Police Force, the rider was injured and sent to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
In a statement to STOMP, a spokesperson for the police wrote:
"Police received a call at around 11.45am today, informing us of a traffic accdeint involving a car and a motorcycle at the junction of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 and Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.
"The rider was conveyed with injuries to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
"Police investigations are on-going."
