Chot, a 10-month-old domestic shorthaired cat, loves sleeping in boxes so much that she almost got thrown out in the trash by her owners once. Despite having a cat house with many comfy cushions, she still prefers sleeping in a box.

"She has a favourite blanket and she loves massaging it and sniffing it. Every night before she sleeps she will massage the blanket and purr loudly.
"She also loves going for walks on her leash. She is such a lovable cat who loves to snuggle with you -- especially when a family member comes home from work or school.
"She will always run to the door and roll around at your feet, meowing for a tummy rub.
"When she was young, we kept her in a large box. It seems that now even though we bought her a cat house and many cushions to sleep on, she still returns to sleeping in a box. Now, her favourite boxes are shoe boxes although it is a tight fit.
"The smaller the box, the better it is for her to take a nap in. Once, we nearly threw her out in the trash. Without us knowing, she was sleeping soundly in a box that we had placed in a plastic bag to throw out. Luckily we checked the plastic bag before we placed it in the trash!"
