Got service or not?
Long queues at bookstore sale but only two cashiers in operation

STOMPer lynn was annoyed to find a long queue at the closing-down sale of the Page One book store in Vivocity which, in her opinion, was caused by insufficient cashier counters in operations.

The STOMPer wrote:

“I’m currently at the Page One book store at Vivocity where they are having a closing-down sale.

“They may be giving a discount ranging from 30% to 50% but customers have to queue more than 2 hours just to make their purchase.

“How can they have just two cashiers with four staff members in total if they know many people are queuing up?”

If you are in the queue you should also notice that other people have baskets of books to buy, not just 1 or 2 books. Or are you too busy taking pictures rather then seeing the obvious ?

lol...you want to sponsor them one more cash counter and be their part-time cashier? That would be a great idea right? IF not, just dun complain so much. Everyone has a hard day and why can't you be more considerate?

Closing down plus giving big discounts indicate that business is bad and shop has to close down. So how can they employ more cashiers to serve customers?

I wonder what's the purpose of this complaint? That Page One will employ more staff to cope with the crowd and to improve better service? Stupid.

Why spend more money to hire one more cashier if people are still willing to queue and buy..
