Shoppers doing CNY shopping made to wait when payment system goes down

STOMPer Frank was at Giant Hypermart at IMM when the payment system went down for 45 minutes.

Said the STOMPer (Jan 19):

"Giant IMM down.

"The POS/paying system at Giant Hypermarket IMM, Jurong East, was down for about 45 minutes.

"This happened at about 10.45am and shoppers doing their lunar new year goods were made to wait."

If not wait then what?? If its the System & IT at fault it needs to rectified.. Dont you wonder that there were many transactions before knowing that CNY was comin, & with the crazy crowd, prolly that was why the system cracked? Be more pragmatic please. Crazy old fart!

Customers were not "made to wait". They waited of their own accord. They have the option of dropping every merchandise on the floor and then walk away.
