Got service or not?
Where's the service? Calls to AirAsia go unanswered for a week

STOMPer Jack has been trying to call through to AirAsia for a week without success. Each time he makes a call, he has to wait at least 30 minutes while an automated voice message is repeated.

He elaborates:

"AirAsia customer service hotline has serious manpower shortage!

"I have been trying to call Air Asia for one week, at different timings and on different days to help my girlfriend buy luggage space for her ticket booking as she did not buy them previously when she booked the tickets.

"I have had to wait at least 30 minutes each time I make a call, and all the while it will just keep repeating "All our customer service representatives are currently busy".

"After 3 days of numerous calls, an operator answered my call, asking me to leave my contact details as they have no one free to pick up my phone calls.

"They promised to call back within 24 hours. However, till today, after I have waited 106 hours, I still have not received a return call.

"As I was writing this post, I was still calling AirAsia and I had already waited for an hour."

I called them twice today-1st time i waited for around 10 minutes, the 2nd time slightly more than an hour, both calls did got answered. For minor changes to your flight, i suggest you register as an Air Asia member online and from there, access and manage your booking online, It is faster and you do not have to wait eons on the phone.

It's not pinoy or singaporeans that are lazy, it's how Airasia guides their employees to react and how the business is structured to lower cost, and make money for such operations. Reason why the Tony F, makes his billions and most profitable in this business folks !

eriously guys, Airasia don't really give a damn or your complaints or refunds. They just make it difficult until you give up trying. Experienced it myself and know many people have as well. Perhaps we need to have some Singapore authorities should look into their tactics of responding to the customers. Or Singapore authortites should regulating this too ...

Thanks all above who had given some advice. This is totally atrocious and unacceptable. I am ok with the wait, however if they promised to call back, I hope they can keep their promise, if they are really really busy, I dont mind they call me back after 48hours instead of as their promise of 24hours.

My girlfriend flight departing on the 22nd of January and I will have a few more days to try my luck. What if the other customers are urgently needed to make some enquries ? Worse of all, they do not have any service centre in Singapore. All their service centre is in Malaysia. ZZZZZzzzzzzZZzz
