STOMPer C was shopping with his wife when he noticed that promotional prices and prices on the receipts did not correspond.
Said the STOMPer:
"As Guardian is currently having storewide sales, my wife and I went down to Yew Tee Guardian store to stock up on CETAPHIL cleanser.
"It was stated clearly on the shelf that the CETAPHIL range was having 20% off ($30.90 x 80% = $24.72), thus we purchased 2qty ($24.72 x 2 = $49.44).
"However, upon paying, the receipt shows $49.90 for 2.
"We checked with the cashier and learnt that there is another promotion going on.
"We commented that we should enjoy the better promotion from the customers' point of view, but they told us that the promotion cancels the 20% discount.
"I do not wish to argue with them as it is just a difference of $0.46, but what worries me is that there are other items which are having the 20% off tag with no actual discount."
Later, I doubled-check with another sale lady, she said this item really got 20% discount!! WTH
