Got service or not?
Birthday celebration ruined by restaurant staff who messed up reservation

STOMPer Christopher says his dinner party arrived right on time at this barbeque restaurant, but were still left standing outside even after half an hour.

The STOMPer wrote:

"I bought a food voucher via Deal.com, and made a reservation to celebrate my wife's birthday at 7pm today (Dec 12).

"We reached here at 7pm but after 30 minutes still never got the chance to sit down.

"The queue has since gotten longer and the boss hasn't done a single thing. We cannot get a refund too. This restaurant has irresponsible and poor management."

Those who said that one will expect 2nd class service when using coupon or discount card to dine, please be informed that waiters will not know beforehand that a customer intends to use voucher, discount card or coupon to pay for the dinner. Will you flash your voucher or discount card to the waiter before you order your food?

Coupon customers will be treated as 2nd class. Remember that!

Gosh. The stomper should have known better.
Maybe its his first time hosting a party? But he is married and all, hence should have quite a lot of life experience already.....

*Rule of thumb*
If you are doing a reservation that requires more than ONE table, always speak to the manager directly when planning the reservation.

Query the manager on how crowded the restaurant typically is, and how he can ensure your required number of tables.

Offer a "carrot", e.g, like paying 20% upfront prior, if the party is really really important.

And NEVER get deals/coupons from internet WITHOUT talking to the restaurant mananger.
NEVER ever assume anything.
