STOMPer ryn was disappointed with her dining experience at a seafood restaurant when she found out that they had run out of chilli sauce.
Said the STOMPer:
"I was dining at Manhattan Fish Market in Changi City Point Mall yesterday (Nov 28) at 9.19pm.
"We wanted to order these things at first: herb mussels, hot barramundi or a salad, only to be told that all of the aforementioned were not available.
"Hence, we ordered fish 'n' chips and a seafood platter instead.
"The fish 'n' chips came first and we asked for chilli sauce to go with it.
"They have sauces like tartar sauce, but no chilli sauce until the next day.
"They explained that they only ordered chilli sauce over the weekend and would usually have it delivered by Monday.
"However, as there was a delay in their order last weekend, they did not have any stock of chilli sauce in the restaurant even up to yesterday night.
"The seafood platter then came but with still no chilli sauce, when there should be at least packet ones or or those bought from supermarkets.
"I was so annoyed and went to a nearby fast food restaurant to get some packets of chilli.
"We opened the packets of chilli back in the restaurant on purpose and took pictures of them.
"It's so pathetic and not even service recovery was done.
"In fact, after my boyfriend spoke to the manager about this issue, the staff members who took our orders looked irritated and did not thank us and ask us to come again next time when we were leaving.
"They should send their staff for customer service training and teach them how to go the extra mile for customers.
"I come from the customer service line myself and I believe that Manhattan Fish Market is established enough to have good customer service standards."
