Good job! VivoCity food court takes swift action after patrons complain of 'sour' dish

STOMPer sleepyedward was impressed by how quickly the Food Republic management responded to customer complaints of food that might have gone bad. Two patrons said that their glutinous rice dish had a "bad taste and sour smell" and the STOMPer saw some staff members investigating the matter shortly afterwards.

The STOMPer related the incident:

"Good job to management of Food Republic in VivoCity.

"An auntie and her mum, who were sitting beside me bought glutinous rice from Bao Today.

"They asked for a new set because the rice was cold.

"After they sat down and took a few bites, they left the dishes on the table.

"They said the rice tasted bad and had a sour smell.

"When they were going to leave, they told me that they are going to report this matter to the management.

"Shortly later, a Food Republic staff member and two others talked to the stall owner.

"They even sniffed the food during the investigation.

"Well done Food Republic, for responding to feedback quickly, especially with regard to food that so many people are going to consume."

I still don't understand. By sniffing at the food and talked to the Stall owner is considered good response? What are the follow-up actions? Did they continue to sell the food or dump them away?

basic requirement for food establishment is to serve decent food. in the first place spoiled food should never have been served.

Well it's a different case right.
The stalls are mostly owned by PRC, but Food R. isn't.

Vivo Food Republic is a joke. Food never tasted the same after its been replaced by PRC's. Bland food. Whats worse, the PRC at fish soup stall keep insisting the fish was garoupa when it was clearly tilapia, before and after we ordered and forcefully asked us to pay up. Why? because it was closing time.
