Following the online furore by netizens over the removal of McDonald's curry sauce, McDonald's has responded that it is a temporary shortage and new stocks of curry sauce will arrive from the US by the end of the week.
Wrote Linda Ming, Communications Director, McDonald’s Restaurants, in a response (Nov 14):
"Due to unforeseen supply issues, our stores are currently experiencing a temporary shortage of curry sauce.
"We know that curry sauce is a favourite amongst many of our customers and are sorry that this is temporarily unavailable.
"We assure our customers that we are doing our best to bring in stocks of curry sauce and these will arrive from the US by the end of next week.
"In the meantime, customers can choose from a range of other sauces - Barbeque and Sweet & Sour as well as our popular Garlic Chilli sauce.
"To all our valued customers and curry sauce lovers in Singapore, we sincerely apologise and seek your understanding and patience in this.
"Thank you."
