STOMPer miss-quek accidentally consumed some chocolate which had expired for months. She tried to send feedback to the supermarket but the website was down, her email was not replied to, and she even submitted a feedback form to a staff member who did not seem to care.
Wrote the STOMPer (Nov 3):
"Bought a bar of chocolate (Dove) on Sat 29th Oct 2011 at Plaza Singapura Carrefour.
"I started eating the chocolate bar the next morning, only to realise it had expired for months.
"This was after 1/4 of the bar was in my body.
"I wanted to send an email to the Carrefour group but the website for contacts was not working.
"So I sent in an email to the Carrefour online shopping email but there has been no reply till date.
"I headed down to Plaza Singapura last evening, where I bought the chocolate bar from, and asked a lady from the customer service counter where to submit my feedback form.
"She told me I could hand it to her and she will submit to the management.
"She asked what happened. After sharing with her, her colleague walked past, and she started talking to him -- but it was not about my incident.
"She said 'Okok I'll feedback' in a can't-be-bothered tone when she realised I was still there looking at her.
"I hope Carrefour will look into my feedback and conduct a thorough check on all products as well as their staff's attitude to prevent such incidents from happening again."
