Got service or not?
Bangkok flooded, but budget airline still charges me to change flight

STOMPer bus-waiter is upset that Jetstar is charging him to change a flight he booked to Bangkok, despite the fact that the airport there has been hit by the floods and suspended services.

Thailand is currently struggling to cope with the worst flooding in the country's recent history, with flood waters reaching Bangkok's Don Muang airport three days ago. The airport serves mainly budget airlines and domestic flights, while the newer Suvarnabhumi airport, which takes international flights, is still open for business.

The STOMPer explained his situation:

"Due to the floods in Thailand, I decided to postpone my trip to Bangkok.

"However, when I contacted Jetstar to change my flight, they insisted on charging me the change fee, and to top up the difference in air ticket price.

"My return ticket is from Air Asia and even they have allowed me to change flights with no charge. Why does Jetstar insist on charging us extra?"

Hello friend, do you even understand what "budget airlines" means? If SQ do this to you, then your complain is valid.

All inside your contract, they also have terms with the airport. I guess everyone is paying for climate change due to unrelentless plundering of cheap fuel.

You are changing the flight not them, so they charge you. They have not cancel their flight yet!
