STOMPer Grace nearly had a scare when she called to check on her funds transfer of $400 but bank staff told her the transaction had not been made. Apparently they had 'checked the wrong page', according to another staff member.
Grace relates in an email (Aug 5):
"The staff said there was no transaction of $400.
"Not believing it, I called my friend to inform her about the transfer not being done.
"She was shocked, so she called up DBS/POSB and to her surprise the staff member who answered told her there was only one transaction on 30 June instead of four transactions that my friend made on that day.
"So she logged in to her online banking account and took a screenshot which she sent to the given email address that the bank staff member had given her.
"She waited for her to call back with regard to the matter, but no call was received.
"I decided to call on 4 Aug 11 at 11.53pm and spoke to another staff member.
"He told me that he had checked both accounts and the $400 was transferred and received on 30 June 11.
"My question is, how can the two staff members not see the transaction?
"The third staff member said both have checked the 'wrong page'!
"Why are the staff not being trained properly as a phone banking staff when they are at the frontline and serving customers?"
