Made funds transfer of $400, but bank staff 'checked wrong page' and didn't see it

STOMPer Grace nearly had a scare when she called to check on her funds transfer of $400 but bank staff told her the transaction had not been made. Apparently they had 'checked the wrong page', according to another staff member.

Grace relates in an email (Aug 5):

"The staff said there was no transaction of $400.

"Not believing it, I called my friend to inform her about the transfer not being done.

"She was shocked, so she called up DBS/POSB and to her surprise the staff member who answered told her there was only one transaction on 30 June instead of four transactions that my friend made on that day.

"So she logged in to her online banking account and took a screenshot which she sent to the given email address that the bank staff member had given her.

"She waited for her to call back with regard to the matter, but no call was received.

"I decided to call on 4 Aug 11 at 11.53pm and spoke to another staff member.

"He told me that he had checked both accounts and the $400 was transferred and received on 30 June 11.

"My question is, how can the two staff members not see the transaction?

"The third staff member said both have checked the 'wrong page'!

"Why are the staff not being trained properly as a phone banking staff when they are at the frontline and serving customers?"

they are nothing but full of lies they able to see it just being lazy to click on the screen that's all what a bunch of loafers, such kind of services is really cannot make it

NEVER TRUST THE GOVT BANKING SYSTEM AS THEY WILL STEAL YR MONEY AND THE THIEF IS INSIDE THE BANK ITSELF, THEY WILL GIVE ALL SORTS OF LIES AND EXCUSES OF RETURNING YR MONEY ESPECIALLY FOR ALL CITIZENS OF SINGAPORE AND ALSO FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHOM PLAN TO DO BUSINESS INVESTMENT IN SINGAPORE DO THINK TWICE espcially DBS of singapore

If you think that dealing with customer like you is easy, why not work for the bank a day. I'm very sure that they have to deal of a lot of stupid customer like you. If you want to check if it was deposit, check with the party you have transferred to. If not, wait PASS IT TO YOUR FRIEND AND LET HER DEPOSIT HERSELF.

Please kindly think twice before posting this kind of complaints up on stomp in order to get that $50.

hey come on. they handle a few hundred transactions a day, a mistake once in a while in inevitable. At least you didn't lose any money! Don't get the pooe staff members into trouble lah.

Next time wanna complaint please take down their name and complaint to the bank. Make noise, as if someone will help you.
