Cabby takes longer route, then refuses to give me discount

STOMPer Aarend was annoyed when a taxi driver apparently took a longer route to East Coast Lagoon Hawker Centre.

The STOMPer wrote to STOMP:

"Last Friday (Mar 18), the driver of this cab acted blur that he did not know the route to East Coast Lagoon Hawker Centre.

"When I asked him to turn left, he said that the destination was in front, so I kept quite thinking that he was going to take a shorter route, but then I realised that he made a big round back to the same place where I had told him to turn at.

"I was very disappointed, so i told him to drop me off at the side of the road which had no double yellow lines, but he said that he knew the route.

"I insisted that he let me alight, but he didn't want to, so when I reached my destination, I asked him for a discount but he argued saying that he took the correct route, which made me very unhappy.

"I hope that Comfort will do something about such cab drivers."

Some Taxi drivers are like that, they tend to take a longer route to earn money, and they think we are goondus that we don't know the route...

U can CHOOSE to pay him half or tell him drive straight to TP with a receipt and complain. He can waste his full day to entertain you or just give in to u. Why u so STOOPID pay him full fare?

As a Rule always ask for receipt when paying, so that you can bring this up to the Taxi Co. later n get a refund!

Sometime driver ask me which way to go. I told them to use the gps way. They also blur, what is gps way? lol. Some of them don have gps. Tats why I prefer those taxi with their own gps system. No need to talk so much.

Next time open ur big mouth and tell him where and how to go! Sit there dun open ur mouth complain in ur heart and come home complain to ur computer would solve ur problem! See Singaporean just dun like to open their mouth in public, only know how to sit quietly like a mouse and type/ complain to ur computer... Sad sia...

@alarming: i totally agree wif u n u r also doing the rite thing for nt wasting time on them cos there always hv gd n bad driver also gd n bad passenger,just like some f***er out there just bcos of extra few $$$$complain until breaking drivers rice bowl. dun they ever think that the driver maybe got sick wife or kids to take care of??? trust me u will get bk even more than u had given n even more that u had forgiven to others.Just like sm stomper below say dead ppl wont complain n i think he is dying soon.
