STOMPer Alex was pleasantly surprised by the service rendered by a bus captain of SBS Transit service 39.
Not only did the bus captain greet him with a smile, he also reminded standing passengers to hold on to the handrails.
The STOMPer related his experience:
"Service 39, heading towards Yishun, is a route that I'm very familiar with.
"Being a commuter using public transport, all I ask for is a smooth journey to my destination.
"But it's rare because of drivers braking hard, maybe because they're rushing to keep to their schedules.
"Normally they drive with a face like you have told them the most ridiculous thing they've ever heard.
"Or to be in a cab with the driver chatting away on the phone with his unique vocabulary.
"I was taken aback to see someone smiling in the driver's seat when i boarded the bus this time.
"I was also greeted at the same time. What a pleasant surprise!
"He also reminded us (those who were standing) to hold on to the grab poles or handrails.
"No, this is not a recording, but the man himself reminding us verbally!
"If there is a reader who knows how to go about commending this driver, please tell me!"

But it really makes your day when one greets you with a smile
But guess what, after stomping this, this morning, I waiting for more than 40 mins for a bus that never came and I had to cab to work due to the freaking delay. Imagine all the services to that bus stop went pass me 3 times at least!
