McDonald's at Chinatown Point turns off lights to 'chase us at closing hours

STOMPer newtosingapore experienced bad service at the hands of the McDonald's staff at Chinatown Point last night (Nov 4) when they turned off all the lights to tell the STOMPer that they were closing.

The STOMPer recounted:

"I'm new to Singapore and last night (Nov 4), I experienced a new low in service.

"Five friends (all Singaporeans) and myself were at McDonald's at Chinatown Point.

"There were only a few people left in the eatery and we were enjoying our conversation when all of the sudden, the lights went off.

"Instead of kindly telling the few customers they had in the eatery that they would be closing soon, they simply turned off the lights.

"We could have tripped going out.

"Could I sue them?

"We did try to find out what time they closed but couldn't find the opening hours stated on the door.

"To turn off the lights on customers is just wrong.

"Service should have minimum standards."

Wake up!!! Restaurant is for dining not for long conversation! Ps don't hog the tables & don't expect staffs to wait till you go at late hours. They work throughout the whole day not tired enough meh? Still got to wait for you? How much did you pay for that kind of service? Did you tip them? Did you booked the whole place? No wander service standards drop nowadays, all because of you monkeys. Staffs got to work long hours, then wait for you late monkeys to go before they can go home. Hence too tired to serve during the daytime...
