Great service! Supplier makes special delivery to replace bottle of soured milk

When a bottle of milk turned sour before its expiry date, STOMPer Fran9ipani expected a tedious claiming process. Hence, she was pleasantly surprised when her feedback was dealt with efficiently with a special delivery arranged to replace the bottle of milk.

As a result, the STOMPer would like to thank Meidi-ya Supermarket and Supernature for making her feel like an appreciated customer.

In an email, Fran9ipani says:

"I bought a bottle of Straus Organic Whole Milk from Meidi-ya not long ago.

"Even with proper handling, the milk turned bad before the expiry date.

"When I purchased it, there was only few bottle left on the shelf so I didn't have much choice though I was a little doubtful upon seeing the white lumps in the milk.

"The next day it still tasted alright but it turned bitter the next day.

"I sent an email to the supermarket and was pleasantly surprised that they got the supplier to call me within a few days.

"Mr. Chan from Supernature offered to deliver a new bottle to my door.

"I thought that they would ask me to bring the bottle down for an exchange. However, I was not required to waste time and transport fees or even to bring my receipt and get questioned like they do in some other places.

"When I previously bought some mouldy yoghurt from another supermarket, I had to make a trip down within a certain time frame and show them proof of purchase, getting questioned as if I was trying to cheat them.

"In Medi-ya, I was treated like a valued customer and it gives me faith in both the supermarket and their products

"Thanks Medi-ya and Mr. Chan from Supernature".

there's a way to test the service. Let's all start emailing the 'good service' supermarket and see what happens ;)

Generally the more expensive supermarkets do provide much better service, you get what you pay for, I guess. Good on Meidi-ya :)

Sometime, in fact quite often I've seen rotten eggs, fruits, mouldy breads, spoiled meat, seafood that are still on display and I really wonder what are the staff doing? So often their staff are also not aware of the promotion and instead charge full price some even keep arguing when you point out the mistake till you show them the advertisements. If a company are smart enough they would wake up and provide better services and that housewives customers are very good in spreading words and a modern one can even spreading faster by going so online this is better then any other advertisement...

Medi-ya, Jason and Market place is so far I found that is providing better services compare to Giant, Ntuc, Carrfour and Shopnsave. I would always rated Medi-ya first on the list even before this incidents, items are always neatly display and the place are clean and doesn't smell like fish market, people always have the wrong ideals that price are much higher here but in fact when it is on sale it could be mush cheaper then any of the heartland supermarkets. I rarely encounter almost rotten food on sale here as I think the quality control is strict and items are always in good condition, unlike some other places that very often items already turns bad but are still display on selves, even now I think Sheng siong are also catching up and provide better services then Shopnsave. So far Ntuc finest I feel that only the one in Somerset is better, for other places they might have upgraded on the shopfront and products but sadly services still remain as bad like before...
