Got service or not?
Kudos to staff helping out at Heritage Fest Chinese Concert

STOMPer Zinks was impressed by the caring nature of the helpers working at the Heritage Festival Chinese Concert which took place yesterday.

The helpers supplied the public with plastic sheets to sit on when they realised the field was muddy.

The STOMPer says:

"Dropped by this Heritage Fest 2010 event last night to support friends who were singing at the concert, located at SMU's green field open space.

"Just felt that the helpers at the venue were friendly and helpful.

"I was among the handful of audience who came by the venue later and was left standing on the muddy field.

"The plastic drapes for people to 'picnic on' on were already taken up by the large audience.

"After five mins or so, some helpers at the event diligently came by to let us know they have come armed with more plastic drapes, and prompted us to let them know where we would like to sit.

"That got lots of people more comfortable and orderly. Especially for the older folks, there was somewhere clean to sit and rest on.

"Other than these friendly and alert helpers, there was also another guy who just started distributing plastic fans to bystanders who were watching the performances along the walkways, as it was rather warm there.

"I felt their initiative and group work was great, and perhaps STOMPers who are in town can drop by to support the event if they are in town today."
