Unsatisfied diner felt cheated when he did not get a free drink with his meal at MOF. The promotion promised a free drink with orders of spaghetti, but failed to mention that only dishes costing more than $10 qualify.
In an email today (June 9) the STOMPer explained:
"I was having dinner at MOF (Ministry of Food) at Choa Chu Kang Lot 1.
"I placed an order for a plate of $5.80 spaghetti and a glass of iced lemon tea. The promotion indicated I had to buy an order of spaghetti and top up with $1 to get a glass of iced lemon tea.
"When I ordered they charged me the actual price of the lemon tea, $2.80.
"I asked about the promotion, but was told that the promotion was for spaghetti over $10 in price. This was not stated in the promotion.
"To make things worse, I ordered the food at 7.41pm but was only served at 8.13pm. The service was lousy as they did not even apologise when they finally served me my food so late.
"No wonder they do not charge service charge. The food is not nice too."
