Got service or not?
If this picture annoys you, imagine what it's like for bus commuters

Imagine what it is like for commuters of SBS Bus Service 7, who have to endure this irritating view every day, because an advertisment poster is pasted right on the upper deck windscreen of the bus.

One of the annoyed commuters, STOMPer Amjad, told STOMP:

"This photo was taken inside SBS Bus Number 7.

"I was sitting right in front of the bus and I felt a sharp pain in my eyes when I looked through this advertisement sticker pasted right on the front window screen.

"It was so irritating and it was so difficult to see the road.

"I would like to ask what the front screen is for and if they have to block it then just block it permanently.

"It's for the passengers to look at the road so why is it being used for their own profit?

"The many small holes make you have a headache.

"The bus was full and I had to bear with the eye-irritating sticker for 20 minutes.

"I would like to ask SBS if they had checked the advertisement for themselves after it had been pasted on the bus."

Sitting on these buses with beehive holes, seems like no different from sitting insides a prisoners' buses!

Commuters' views are only kachang issue, most important is to get profits from advertisements la.

This beehives view still can peek thro., i ever boarded a bus with almost 40% windscreen opaque liao. They think this is arts, but i thinks this is sais.

*cough* the problem of the advertisement having "holes" causing headaches isn't so important. The important issue is that the holes prevent the commuter from looking through the window. What's the point of the window if you can't look through it? It's very easy to miss your stop cause you can't see the buildings through the window, especially if you don't really know your way around Singapore *like me* or if it's really dark

i agreed with mrbencai.
its not the entire glass panel being covered. stomper simply using optical/digital zooming.
no idiot will place the face so near to the front glass panel to look at the direction of the bus going.

Basically advertisement increases the profit of the firm as such, reduces the need for increment in bus fare. Perhaps you can make the post more meaningful by suggesting useful inputs for the firm to decrease their operating cost, and yet at the same time, provides a good view for commuters? If you cannot with your intelligence, I doubt that they will be able to since it had been the case for quite some time. Personally, I think it is a pretty good idea for advertisement instead of covering the whole piece of glass.

I find it annoying too, especially if you travel and night and need to alight at a place you are not familiar with.

Ask an old woman/man board the bus=everyone fall asleep immediately. So no one will open their eyes.
