Ridiculous! Kopitiam charges extra $1.50 to put cover on takeaway cup

STOMPer Ms Angry was shocked when she was charged with an additional $1.50 for the plastic lid used to cover her takeaway cup of chendol from a Kopitiam stall in Yew Tee.

The charge is exorbitant and unjustified, she says, likening it to a form of daylight robbery.

In an iPhone entry, Ms Angry says:

"This lid is sold at $1.50.

"I bought this chendol at Kopitiam Yew Tee and was charged aan extra $1.50 for just the lid.

"Isn't that ridiculous?

"It's like daylight robbery!"

Do all of you know that they are less bowl type chendol selling the food court? Cause bowl type of chendol sell @ $1.90 and the new Singapore No. 1 chendol sell @ $2.70. Most coffee shop promise no to increase price, but they do this to get more profit. Meaning that after change the name to Singapore No. 1 we can anyhow increase the price??
