STOMPer Mandy was furious when her coat returned from the laundry with a broken zip. Although she sent it back for repairs, the coat returned with even more damages.
The zip was not only not fixed properly, another zip at the collar had also broken the second time round.
Furthermore, the coat was not clean and the shop refused to clean it complimentarily.
What's worse is that her requests to speak to the manager following the incident have not been returned.
STOMPer Mandy says in an email:
“I sent a coat for dry cleaning at laundry shop in West Coast Plaza in February.
“After collection, I did a visual check and kept my coat.
“However, when I unzipped the coat, the zip broke to pieces!
“When contacted, the shop implied that I was the one who damaged it.
“They then asked me to bring it down after I spoke to the manager.
“I took leave from work on March 2 to look for the manager but the manager was not around. They then told me to collect the repaired coat on Friday.
“Upon collection, I realised that a small piece of metal was added to the zip and the zip was upside down.
“This time, the collar zip was also damaged!
“The coat was unwashed and they told me to pay for cleaning if I wanted it done.
“I was furious and left the coat there with a note for the manager to call me.
“The supervisor called me but we could not come to a conclusion. The manger still has not contacted me since then despite many requests put forward.”

1. Unless you were visually challenged, what kind of 'visual check' prevented you from seeing the so-called damage at the shop itself?
2. Even admitting that the zip came off after you did a thorough check once you reached home, how come the coat was soiled again before you returned it to be mended? Did you mean to say the coat was delivered in a soiled condition the first time and you failed to notice it during your 'visual check'?
3. Instead of attempting to malign the reputation of the dry cleaner, are you confident of convincing Small Claims Tribunal about the damage caused to you?
These are questions that beg to be asked from the half truths Mandy has posted here.
Stomp must first check with the other side and carry their version of the story alongside that of the whiner in such cases, especially if it involves a commercial establishment
Who so dumb send to wash zip come off still go again?
You did your visual inspection, left the place,Whatever happened after that got nothing to do with them,if you have just collected and left without checking, than that's another storey.
