Ten seconds into the 'free' massage, the masseuse suddenly stopped and asked STOMPer J J to sign up for a $48 package. The STOMPer refused and was asked to leave, with oil still on her shoulders.
That was the STOMPer's experience with the Atos Wellness free massage promotion at the Metro Expo Sale held at the Singapore Expo, where complimentary massages were given to customers.
In an email to us on Jan 3, the angry STOMPer said:
"I understand that she has sales targets to meet but this is no way to treat a potential customer.
"This is especially so as I noted that other shoppers were still having their massages.
"I urge Metro not to continue collaborating with an organisation which does not treasure their customers as it might tarnish their image.
"I will never consider taking up Atos' services again."
Atos has since contacted the STOMPer to ask for more details.
