Ridiculous! Chinatown restaurant charges $6 for char siew no

A STOMPer, who recently visited 2 Chinatown Seafood Restaurant in Trengganu Street, was shocked to find that a simple bowl of char siew noodles cost him $6.

This is overpriced for something as simples as charsiew noodles, he says.

In an email, the STOMPer says:

"Daylight robbery in Chinatown.

"Can u believe that I spent $6 on a plate of char siew noodled at a noodle stall in 2 Chinatown, Trengganu street.

"It was ridiculous. "

Hey, you are dining in a "Seafood Restaurant", not a coffee shop. Why didn't you think of the nearby Smith Street Chinatown Complex hawker centre?

Stomper, you should just stay home and slurp down 'Maggie' instant noodles like you always do.

i think the problem here is not going to a seafood restaurant in chinatown and eating a plate of char siew noodles for $6.. the problem is the attempt to make a mountain out of a mole hill here on stomp.. and using a receipt for chicken somemore.. but on second thought, if they can make chicken that looks like char siew noodles, or vice versa, maybe that's what you paid for, just like people paying more for mock meats..
