Unfair that hypermart overcharges customers, when product's on promotion

Time and again, STOMPer Sorc had encountered with incompetent staff at Giant Hypermart. This time, the staff refused to admit that Dumex Step 3 was on promotion, when the picture clearly stated so.

Says this STOMPer:

"I have been visiting GIANT Hypermart at Tampines for my daily groceries including baby necessities.

"However I am utterly disappointed in the way their staff work. Non of them knows their products at all.

"Last month, there was a purchase with purchase promotion, with Kleenex tissue on offer price.


"However the cashier insisted that there was no promotion at all for this brand. I had to go to the shelves to take down the entire promo tag to show it to her. This was not the first time that the cashier did not know anything about their promotion items.


"Today (Nov 16) was another disappointing trip again.


"As per the picture shows, Dumex is having a promotion for Step 2, 3 and 4 where you buy two tins at a discounted price for the month of Nov.


"Step 2 at $99.90 instead of the usual $111.90


"Step 4 at $70.90 instead of the usual $81.40


"But Step 3 is still selling at the original price of $46.90?


"When I asked the staff about this, they simply told me that Step 3 was not on offer.


"It clearly states in the picture that Dumex step 3 is on promotion as well!


"I had bought at least 2 tins in the month of Nov at the original price even though there was a promotion going on for Dumex for the month of Nov.


"Is it fair for consumers to pay the original price when the Dumex is offering a promotion?


"I seriously hope GIANT can give a good explanation to this for consumers who had unknowingly paid the full price."

I am oso sian with thier service... they having promo for 2 packs of milk @ cheaper price but when i take diff flavour they say cannot.... but even different flavour oso same pricing, same brand, same model... they so rigid... :(

yes, the cashiers seems passive and robotic and very dependant on their supervisors to rectify problems! even though the problem is clear cut and glaring! seems they are not trained for!

it happened at Marine Parade outlet too! charged the same item twice and when clarified, cashier refused to acknowledge. service real lacking!!!

Dun need to argue with the cashier, pull down the tag and show them on the face lor, giant cashier are really very SLOW one

nothing new about their pricing at Giant. have been to their Tampines outlets and 3 times running the cashiers scanned the items at a higher price. it pays to double check!

it's their shop. they can do anything whatever they want with their merchandise.if you want cheap milk why dont you open your own shop and then give discount. stupid sorc
