STOMPer Jane discovered a pair of pliers missing from the new 8-piece pliers set she just bought, but was told by the shop that no exchange was allowed after purchase.

The STOMPer said:

"I bought a packet of 8-piece pliers from a Crystal Beads shop (near California Fitness) at Novena Square.

"I didn't check the contents because I was told it was all new.

"I went back home and discovered there were only 7 pliers in the pack instead of 8.

"I went back to the shop the next evening to ask for an exchange and was told by the shop that anything sold out of the shop was deemed as having been checked prior to the purchase!

"The shop could not account for it and no exchange was allowed.

"I felt so shortchanged for spending S$75.

"What kind of customer service are we talking about here?

"The third photo shows a slot meant for the missing item (1st item from the right was not there)."
