This Lucky Plaza shop staff went overboard when he overcharged a French tourist and later told her to f*** off, says STOMPer AshWednesday.
In an email to STOMP today (Nov 11), the STOMPer said:
“This unpleasant incident happened to my French friend.
“She had purchased a phone at EZ Advance Trading for $300 but was surprised to see that the invoice she was about to sign reflected $420 instead. This was apparently because of an ‘unlocking’ fee.
“It wasn't even certain if the phone needed unlocking to begin with!
“When my friend started to put up a fight, the vendor calmed down a bit and brought down the ‘unlocking’ fee to $50, but added a 4% credit card charge. Is he preying on customer's innocence/ignorance?
“To add insult to injury, the guy you see in the picture bade goodbye by yelling ‘F*** You’.
“The shop's name is very inappropriate because their customer service is anything but advanced.
“I somehow wish it happened to me instead. I could have come up with better comebacks and taken more unflattering pictures."

else, u shd go to big electronics stores.. the most they bo chup u, they wont overcharge or treat u with vulgarities..
but yeah, one should know not to visit Lucky Plaza if they were to purchase some electronic stuff and such. A foreign friend of mine was charge 7k for a watch n reduced down to 4k after she showed a shocking look on her face. I mean, how can someone just reduced the price THAT much, right? So I suggested that she find out what's the market price for that particular watch 1st n look elsewhere.
I've heard a lot of people got scammed @ Lucky Plaza n even have an acquaintance who is an ex-employee there n told us how her boss will teach them to mark up the price upon seeing foreigners, especially.
