Got service or not?
Families can't use this toilet at Bt Merah hawker centre as it's now a 'storeroom'

STOMPer WM was upset to see a family restroom at a hawker centre in Bukit Merah had instead been converted into a storeroom, making it near-impossible for families' use.

Said the STOMPer:

"Family restroom or storeroom?

"It was profoundly upsetting to see a family restroom at the hawker centre (Blk 115 Bukit Merah View) being abused, rendering it almost impossible to use by families with young children.

"The access to the child's toilet bowl and baby changing table was obstructed.

"The baby's chair was filled with irrelevant items! Worse was there was no water from the tap there.

"It is very upsetting to me as while the government is trying to enhance the living environment with family-friendly facilities, we have counter-agents who seem oblivious to this and abuse them for their own use.

"It is not only an issue of maintenance but also the absence of regular monitoring by the town council staff since the mess seems to have been accumulated over a long time.

"I am sending this article to STOMP to alert other parents who have encountered such an abuse to report and make the authorities aware of such an issue."

Hello when you took this photo? The whole hawker centre is right now closed for renovation since two weeks ago. That could explain why the toilet becomes a store room.
Don't miss these...
