STOMPer Allen was shocked to receive a utility bill in June that showed a two-fold increase in his household's consumption.
Said Allen:
"I wonder how many of you have received a 'big' utility bill for June's charges, that came in almost the same time with the GST rebates notification.
"For mine, the consumption for all items (electricity, water and gas) have increased to an level of almost 100%!
"This is ridiculous as there are only two working adults in my house -- that is my wife and myself.
"Hence, we are only at home on weekday evenings or at night!
"I have called up Singapore Power on Monday but the customer service Officer basically just tried to find all reasons to justify the charges.
"In the end, I was asked to write-in or email. My precious 20 minutes had been wasted on the call.
"I had drafted an email to SP on the same day but till date, there's still no reply from them.
"And we are just to pay for whatever charges they put into the bill?"

April - $206 (My bill has always been consistent at around $200 range)
May - $197
June - $358 (I was on a week's holiday with family, so how can the bill come out to his figure??)
July - $209 (Government gave a rebate of $90, but bill came out to be around almost $300 too)
Aug - $305
Sept - $288
Now I am convince that this doesn't just happen to me after reading from the internet that many too has experience a hike in their electricity usage for the past few months. It is sad to hear that some have called SP and they never return the call...
Give u one chicken wing, now asking for not whole chicken hor but whole turkey.
