SingPost has removed this stuck package from a STOMPer's letter box and delivered it directly to him with an apology.
In an earlier article, STOMPer Stuck had been upset by the way SingPost staff had handled his parcel, cramming it into a letterbox which was obviously too small for it.
A spokesperson for SingPost wrote:
"We refer to the feedback by STOMPer Stuck on May 19, 2012.
"SmartPacs which are not successfully delivered will be deposited into the recipient's letter box.
"The delivery note will be signed by the postman to indicate that the item has been delivered via the letter box. We have since retrieved and delivered the item to the STOMPer.
"We thank STOMPer Stuck for his feedback, as well as apologise for any inconvenience caused. Members of the public can send us their feedback on mail delivery via www.singpost.com/contactus."
No calls, nothing, out of blue, post man just pop out to make delivery.
If first attempt, not successful and nobody open door, a slip just left for you to collect from Monday - Friday and must be within 5 working days to collect.
Heavy and bulky parcels still expect people to personally drop by nearest post office to collect or appoint somebody. If working then how?
