Unfair that expats get better deal with StarHub's UEFA Euro 2012 package

STOMPer snuzzy123 feels it is unfair that expats get an additional exclusive football premium pack of their choice worth $50 when they sign up for StarHub's UEFA Euro 2012 package.

Said the STOMPer:

"StarHub Euro 2012 promotion: Foreign expats get much more 'exclusive' deal than locals.

"It's the same price (under Early Bird Price) for the same product, but foreign expat subscribers get a much better deal in terms of an exclusive football premium pack of your (expat's) choice worth $50!

"Meanwhile, locals who sign up for the same package get nothing but a complimentary Adidas EURO 2012 Miniball at most -- only if we sign up for the English Supersize Pack and the UEFA EURO 2012 pack.

"This is not fair. We want a significant discount or the same or even better deal offered to local subscribers!

"We expect StarHub to respond to this!"

Oh, I happen to be the 40.1% living in a 60.1% town. That's not a bad thing. I don't have any qualms about going to my well paid mps to get them to wake up and do their job. I will be at the next mtp session to request my dearest mp to clarify this with Starhub. I like to see some "elite" management staff apologise and be accountable for such insensitive and discriminatory marketing!

Well fellas, put your money where your mouth is. Demand that you get the same package or you stop subscribing to Starhub. That is exactly what I m going to do.

Foreign expats and talents always have privilege compared with local. StarHub just follows the Government.

If you are 60.1%, then don't complain.

my guess is this: expats generally don't sign up for cable because (1) they don't even know how long they'll work in singapore - the company can at any time tell them to pack up and return to their country, so they refuse to sign a long term cable package (2) if they want to watch sports they'll hang out at the bar with their friends to watch sports. so starhub thinks it's better to give them a discount to make them pay for home cable, than to not have their business at all.

Why so ? Can StarHub pls comment ?
Promotions only for expat not Singaporeans ?
Obviously discriminate Singaporeans.
Can MDA pls investigate.
