'Left or right thumb?' Overseas S'porean shares GE nail art

In light of Polling Day which is barely 12 hours away, STOMPer Rachelle who is an overseas Singaporean decided to paint her nails with an election theme. 'Left or right thumb?' she asks.

Said Rachelle of her nails (May 6):

"Left thumb or right thumb????

"These are my nails and I painted them myself.

"After watching videos and reading up on all of the election manifestoes, I thought painting my nails in line with the election theme would be a good idea!

"I change my nail designs weekly so this is this week's 'nail theme'.

"I am Singaporean but I'm currently in Australia."

i find this to be subtle shots at the political parties.
why does WP have to be on the left thumb, it looks to me like someone is hinting that they are leftist.
