STOMPer Jasmine's boyfriend spent New Year's Eve at an arcade with her, because he knows that she loves 'killing zombies'.

"Kelvin and I got acquainted through social networking site, Tagged, on May 3 2011, and when he asked for my facebook address I gave it to him.

"On the May 6 2011, at 1.30am, a facebook chat message popped up! He initiated the chat, saying that he had noticed I am one of those who is perpetually online! Well, he must have stalked me! That was our first conversation. We talked about our hobbies and I when told him I will be going to club on Wednesday, he said he will accompany me to club if my friend could not make it. 

"Before he logged off, he asked for my mobile number. I gave it to him and the next moment, my phone rang. It was him! I remembered the first message he sent was 'DingDingDingDingDing my aarm clock gonna ring in few hour’s time' and my first reply was 'DingDingDing, was my surname thus u will rem of me!', and we messaged till 2.45am.

"May 11 2011, he texted me in the afternoon, talking about the plans for the night like having dinner at 6pm before going to club. I could not reach my friend, Jessica thus I can only drag the time, told him it’s raining and even asked him to have dinner at home!

"Eventually, I managed to reach Jessica and we went VivoCity to have KFC and meet him. He came at 9.25pm, and as he couldn’t find KFC, I suggested meeting at 7-Eleven. He texted me that he was about to suggest that too! Thereafter we went St James and had our ‘breakfast’ outside too.

We met on the following Saturday to club. He bought my favourite drinks and he always looked at me whenever I am dancing. Even when I danced with one of my male friends, he noticed it. He was sharp and he did not reveal any traits of being jealous or unhappy, neither did he ask me to dance with him (I didn’t know that he noticed and was unhappy or jealous because I danced with my friend until we had our argument).

"On May 25 2011, we had a buffet meal with my friends at The Cathay, Nihon Mura. We ordered so much that we have to finish it up. Thereafter I wanted to go Fort Canning Park for a walk, as a form of exercise.

"He accompanied me and it was his first time spending time alone with me as my friends had left us. My sister called and guessed I would be hanging out with him. She called him ‘Hei Ren’, the Black Man. The night we spent together was sweet, gazing the stars and under the moonlight, we chit chatted and we stayed till 12am and eventually he sent me home before he headed home.

"On May 27 2011 at 11.55pm, we went TAB at Delfi Orchard to club. As the clock struck 12, a brand new day started and it was also the day that somehow started the sparks between us?

"That day I had my first dance with him and he kissed me; were the drinks the cause of this? Partially I guess, or else he would never do that to me. He was sober enough to eventually send Jessica and I home, kiss me once again and still text me. 

"June 14 2011 was the day he asked for my email address and started emailing even till today. No matter how busy he is each day, he will try his best to email. We even agreed to go for a trip to Bali, my first trip out and he called that our First Honeymoon.

"There’s once he waited for me at my office building for 1.5 hours till the doors were closed, hoping that he would see me but I did not came down as I had OT.

"As time goes by, we both realised we had so much in common, that we love the same song, we would guess the song, we love to listen to love songs every Friday, favourite bands, we shared chemistry and telepathy. 

"On the July 1 2011, we went for dinner and star gazing at the park near my house. On July 2 2011 at 2.30am, I wanted to use the washroom so I told him to wait for me at the playground while I went home to drop off my things. I went down to look for him to ask if he needed to use toilet at my place and somehow it start our story.

"We went for our trip on the August 10 2011. He made a card of poems for me and we returned on the August 14 2011.

"He knows I love to play badminton and as I have not been playing for almost a year, he arranged a session right after our trip. I did not tell him how much I was being touched by his actions and on the August 19 2011, we went for dinner and before that I wanted to surprise him by waiting for him at the 7-Eleven but he still managed to see me! My surprise became a failure!

"Unfortunately, good things will eventually meet the bad, same like our relationship. We had trust issues stemming from past relations and phobias even though we were deeply in love.

"I have to admit that I had lied to him, yet time and time again he gave me another chance for my foolishness and another chance for me to tell him the truth about what I was so upset about.

"And also for the first time, he shed tears for me. Whenever I raised the break up issue, he would endure everything and did not give up on me nor break up with me. His endurance, patience and love for me is so strong that he did not want to give up me and our relationship. 

"We went through our first Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at home arguing and he gave me a card, stating that he wanted to spend the day after next after next with me. I was so touched that deep inside I had made up my mind that he is the only one I want to spend my life with. 

"We spent New Year' Eve and New Year and our 6th month anniversary fighting ZOMBIES at an arcade!!! For 3 consecutive days, he brought me to the arcade to kill zombies just because I like to kill zombies.

"He spent a lot on that and once he spent much more as he purchased the wrong card. It was fun when both of us were killing zombies as we always hit the same zombie or the same group of zombies with our 'Ya Gon' aka Corn to bomb those walking zombies as we are the ‘Plants’. Every thing he does, I know it and deeply appreciate it. Although I did not show it, in fact I know it deep down that I love him so much.

"Right after our 6th month anniversary, he went for his reservist. Whenever he booked out from the camp, he would come and look for me and try to accompany me. I remembered, there’s once he surprised me by waiting for me at the MRT Station, accompanied me for dinner and even sent me home and stayed till 11pm even though the next day, he had to wake up very early for his training.

"The days he was in the camp and jungle, I missed him a lot and I know that I really love him so much.

"He returned on the January 19 2011 from reservist just in time for the reunion dinner, Chinese New Year and my birthday. Immediately after he finished his reservist stuff, he came to NUS Hospital to visit my father who was hospitalized.

He accompanied me to grandma’s place, sent me home and that day he went home at 1.45am. Yet he woke up at 10plus to text me and even met me at 3.30pm at Bugis for praying and shopping. That day, we argued again and it was my fault. He was furious and I could see it so clearly but we ended it shortly after.

"We’ve been through Chinese New year and my birthday, he gave me a card again and a necklace, which I like it very much. What was written in the card was sweet and it touched me. But, that day I was being ‘beaten’!!! He accidentally hit my head which caused it to bruise and till today it is still painful when we played mischeviously. Though I was in pain, I was laughing too as he looked so worried and his expression was funny, which I still remember vividly.

"Good things did not last and again my childishness, playfulness and stupidity caused us to have an argument again a few day after my birthday. I know I am in wrong that I always argue with him over trival matters, while we still have trust issues. It is my fault that I have been causing the relationship to go downwards.

"Deep down, I know that I cannot continue being childish and so stupid again, and I will trust him. I have hurt him and we nearly broke up. He endured everything inside, keeping the pain to himself, he would rather suffer than see me suffer even until now. He hopes he can eventually let go of the past and be happy with me.

"Nevertheless, he is still with me and loves me, perhaps not as like before and wont trust me, but I will try my best to earn his trust.

"Thank you for always giving in to me, and tolerating my missy wilful temper. I know I am unreasonable at times, but that is because I know you will give in to me no matter what. I also know that whenever I am in the wrong, you are the one who always tolerates my unreasonable nonsense and unreasonable childish temper, giving in to me and apologising to me. Thanks for everything you have done for me.

"What I've promised you, I'll do it and people shall be the witnessed, that I'll not throw unreasonable, missy tantrums, and not be wilful and childish anymore. I'll repent all the mistakes I have done. Please be happy, forgive me and let go of the past.

"Remember baby, words, promises and fruity names beautify our love story. The day I got to know you till the day we get together, till the day we had an argument and till today. Despite the ups and downs we had facedm, you are still standing beside me no matter what.

"The endurance and patience you have showered me with, greatly touches me from within. Please continue to love and touch me. For you will be the only one, I want to spend my lifetime with. Challenges and routes ahead may be unknown, but believing it will make it work and you are the key that motivates me.

"Promises can easily be broken, but time will tell if the promises I made will be fulfilled. Words cannot describe how much love I have for you.
