When STOMPer Jasmine first met her boyfriend, they called each other names. Since then, their love has blossomed and the couple will soon be celebrating their first Valentine's Day.

"Zen and I know each other through facebook. I remember it was around Feb 2011 when he started asking for my number. Initially I didn't give it to him, until he asked for it several more times.

"So we started sending texts to each other, and we used 'talkbox' to communicate too. Since then he kept asking if I could meet up with him as we both lived in the same area, but I didn't want to as I was busy.

"One day, I still remember vividly that it was 11 March 2011, he called me and told me he was near my house. He went to his friend's house but the friend wasn't in, so thought maybe he could meet up with me.

"Coincidentally, I was on the way out going to AMK Hub to meet my friend, so we met up and walked to AMK Hub together. He wanted to bus there but I preferred walking.

"So along the way, we kept saying nasty things to each other but we knew it was all for fun. He would call me 'Ah Lian' and I would call him 'Ah Beng'. Haha.

"So after the first meet up, we would meet up almost everyday. He would always tell me his problems, and I would do the same.

"I remember there was once when his arm was injured nd was bandaged. I told him I haven't had dinner, and he actually delivered a packet of my favourite duck rice to
my house, yes with the injured arm.

"Then I realised, why is there someone so silly like him? Finally, on 30th May 2011 he asked me to be his girlfriend.

"It's been almost 9 months and we have been through a lot I would say. Perhaps it's how the start of our relationship went. Many people didn't really like the idea of us being together, but he always tells me, its just the time.

"The most importantly thing is how we feel about each other, as long as we are happy, why cares about others?

"I smoke but because of his one sentence, 'I don't like the girl I love to smoke,' I cut down on smoking, from one pack per day I started to stop buying cigarettes and now I don't have the urge to smoke.

"He is someone with a very bad temper, especially when he is drunk, and I am a stubborn girl. Whenever we quarrel, he would always give in to me and apologise to me even if he wasn't at fault.

"He almost always puts me before his ego. I have never met a guy like this before. Not every guy will give into me to this extent whenever we quarrel, but Zen does.

"He cooked dinner for me when I was lazy, he just does everything for me because I'm a very lazy girl.

"Last month, i had my 20th birthday and it was awesome. He gave me the biggest surprise ever together with my beloved best friends. He told me he didn't plan anything for my birthday, but when the clock struck 12, he took out a cake he had decorated and sang me a birthday song. He had also handmade a birthday gift for me.

"On my birthday itself, we went to catch a movie and afterwards, we had dinner at Sakae Sushi as I wanted to eat there. I was very moody as my friends could not be there with me on my birthday.

"Just when I was feeling that way, someone patted me on my head and it was the 5 of them! I could see him smiling like he had surprised me! Haha. My boy planned a surprise with them for me and my tears dropped uncontrollably.

"That 20th birthday was the most simple and awesome one ever. These 9 months, we went through a lot that no one will know about and words can't describe.

"But I failed to be a good girlfriend. This Chinese New Year, he did not have time for me because of his commitments in his lion dance troupe. I actually threw a temper at him.

"Even though it was late and he had to wake up early the next morning, he always made the time to bring me out for dinner adn then go back rest.

"But I never once understood his efforts, and didn't put myself in his shoes to understand the passion he has for lion dance. I'm sorry baby!

"I promise I will not lose my temper for the rest of the days. So we will have our first wonderful Valentine's Day soon!
