Meet Lynn Tan, 24, who is one of the Miss Universe Singapore (MUS) finalists this year. However beyond her good looks, you will find intelligence and a thirst for adventure.
The former Raffles Junior College student not only won the FHM Model of the Year last year, but is outspoken and has swum with sharks, likes riding on the roller-coaster and has flown over a lava-spewing volcano.
She enjoys modelling but one of her other reasons to join MUS is her desire to change society's perception of beauty queens. The associate with accounting firm Deloitte says her role model is her elder sister who is nine years older than her, a lawyer, and beautiful.
Lynn Tan will be competing with 13 other finalists for the cash prize of $5,000 and a chance to represent Singapore at the international finals in December. The finals will be held on Sept 9 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore.
