STOMPer Druz saw the Police Coast Guard nab a China national woman who had allegedly came into Singapore on a small boat without going through immigration.
The STOMPer describes what happened:
"On Jan 14, around 9.15pm, I was at Punggol end when my friend and I saw 2 police patrol boats cruising towards a small boat.
"The small boat then sped past the Police Coast Guard craft and the 2 coast guards then gave chase.
"The small boat sped towards the beach.
"A woman, believed to be a China national, disembarked from the small boat.
"The small boat immediately backed away and sped towards the direction of Pasir Gudang.
"One of the Police Coast Guards' boat gave chase while the other stayed.
"The PRC immediately went into a nearby bush about 5 meters from the beach and hid.
"2 policeman went over to search for her.
"With the help of the public, they were able to locate the PRC but were unable to detain her as she was in a prone position and lying in a thick bush.
"More officers then came and finally the PRC woman gave up and surrendered herself to the police.
"The police immediately detained her and arrested the PRC at the scene.
"It was packed with action just like the scenes in those dramas in TV."
