A man took a bird that was worth $700 from a flat at Yishun Ring Road in the wee hours of Sunday morning (Nov 20). His act was caught on STOMPer Kent's CCTV footage, and this was the third such incident, said the STOMPer.
The STOMPer wrote:
“This is the third time that a bird theft has been committed outside my flat in Yishun Ring Road.
“The latest theft took place at 2.43am on Saturday (Nov 20) when a man stole a cage containing a mata puteh bird worth $700.
“I don't usually leave the birds along the corridor but sometimes I forget to bring them in after bathing them outside my flat.
“I've given up reporting this to the police as they couldn't find a suspect for the first case.
“Instead, I hope bringing this incident here will deter people from turning to crime because there's a high chance they'll be caught on camera.
“There might be temptations all around but people should never resort to stealing."
