Youth tries to break open coin-operated lock on supermarket trolley -- just for $1

STOMPer Henderson spotted a youth meddling with the coin-operated locking mechanism on a supermarket trolley. When the STOMPer checked later, the $1 coin was missing.

Said Henderson:

"Youth tries to break open trolley lock.

"I saw this guy trying to break open the lock on this supermarket trolley.

"Can't he just return it instead of destroying it just for the sake of his $1?

"I was walking to my friend's house and I saw this guy doing something to the trolley.

"I couldn't see what he was using but I presume it to be a screwdriver?

"This happened around the void deck of Chai Chee Avenue around block 29A."
