7th month over, but these teens are still burning ... books
These two teens were burning books early this morning (Aug 30) at about 12.15am in Telok Blangah Heights, said STOMPer Belinda. They apparently had a big bag full of books with them, and were there until the police, called in by the STOMPer, chased them away.
The STOMPer said:
"Two youths were burning books non-stop in the incense bin at 12.15am, till at least 12.45am when the police turned up.
"We're staying at the second floor, so the smoke affects us badly and I also have asthmatic family members at home.
"The police did not take down their particulars and just chased them away, after getting them to put out the fire.
"Unfortunately, the fire did not fully go out until 3am this morning.
"Can't the policeman do more than to chase them away?"

no must get fake paper dick and burn. also can burn dildo.
How about resident of your block still burn incense after 7th month?
Ahhh, I've actually tried tearing paper/letters into tiny strips. After 1 hour of tearing (& only 1% into the pile), one starts wondering if one would have any brain (or hands) left at the end of the tearing exercise. Why not try this out yourself ? Or better still, try hand-shredding piles of outdated books page by page. I dunno ... perhaps some might find such mindlessly-tedious tasks therapeutic & even IQ-improving.
"You put the paper in water and mix it until it becomes mushy. Then you throw it away."
Don't think PUB would advocate such a wasteful practice of removing paper-based items. Water scarcity & water conservation tax aside, there is also the un-civic issue of pouring tons of water-expanded, discoloured & toxin-laden muck into the communal rubbish-chute.
