China woman kicks up huge fuss over faulty item, but feisty salesgirl fights back

"There is certainly no need to make such a big fuss over a return" says STOMPer Stefanie, referring to this video of a China woman shouting at two shop assistants over a faulty item. One of the salesgirls, however, refuses to be pushed around, and a screaming match ensues.

In the video, the China woman is seen shouting at a shop assistant, attempting to return an item she claims is faulty. The shop assistant politely tells her she can make an exchange, but the China woman yells back "Why should I exchange it? I haven't even used it!"

Another shop assistant steps in and calmly tells the China woman to leave, but the China woman retaliates and her screaming intensifies. The shop assistant tells her she can call the police if she's unhappy, and the China woman says fiercely "Go ahead! Call the police then!"

A screaming match ensues between the two women, which ends only when another customer calls out to the shop assistant for help.

The STOMPer says:

"There certainly no need to make such a big fuss over a return.

"Things can always be solved in a peaceful way."

This is the problem of assertive behviour advocated by some training centres. This is the direct result after two persons had attended the course. Don't pratise it blindly.

Though I am not sure, but I suspect in China, if you have not use a product and would like to return I heard that is allowed... heard a case some time back when a PRC wanted to returned a bottle of unused shampoo... Too bad that is not the exchange policy in Singapore, we can only exchange the similar product or a product of similar value, no refunds, especially in small neighbourhood shops...

But I think prob the PRC wanted to return something she did not want or maybe she used but got it spolit... actually my thought is that shop is kind enuff to let her change to a workable one, and I think she is being unreasonable for raising her voice..
