Investigations concluded that no act of animal cruelty occurred in the case of an woman who was seen repeatedly caning a dog in a Woodlands flat, says AVA.

This was in response to a STOMPer's sighting of a female resident at Woodlands Block 683D, caning a dog repeatedly as it shrieked in pain.

In an email to STOMP(Sept 1), a spokesperson for the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA) said:

"The Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA) has done a thorough investigation into this case and is satisfied that there was no act of animal cruelty committed.

"The dog is in good condition and well looked after.

"We have counselled the dog owners accordingly and will continue to closely monitor the well-being of the dog."

She looks pissed at the dog. She shouldn't beat the dog like that. That's just being overly cruel lah. It doesn't remember what it did. You have to spank it right when it does the bed thing. And then you shouldn't hit it like she did. There's spanking and then just over doing it.

as expected..owners counselled and the issue comes to an end..dogs n child abuse are so different..difference lies in dogs having fur to cover up the wounds..while child's skin after being abused is easily seen.

guess really have to wait for the animals to be dead (somemore to a certain noticeable record no.) before the authorities will wake up n do something wise..haiz...

Dear AVA, do we have to kill the dog/cat/pet to warrant the case as animal abuse?
