STOMPer Muni claims this man touched her buttocks while she was travelling on the MRT. When she turned to face him, he merely acted as if nothing had happened.

Here's what the STOMPer wrote in an email yesterday (Mar 16):

"This happened yesterday (Mar 16), between 6.45 pm and 7.00 pm.

"I boarded the train at Jurong East and was travelling towards Chua Chu Kang.

"I then felt something resting on my buttocks.

"My initial impression was that it was someone's bag, however when I turned around I saw a man lifting his hand from my butt and looking away immediately. He pretended as if nothing happened and then started to use his handphone.

"I took a photo of him. I was too shocked to confront him then.

"When I alighted at Chua Chu Kang, he looked at me again.

"Ladies, please be wary."

I do not get it, women here in SG, when an Ang Moh or a white Joe touches a girl in the MRT, never once there is an incident of molest, but when an Asian man (perhaps Indian/Malay/Chinese) does this they take pics, create a circus of emotions and telling the world their bum just got touched. Here evidently we do not even know if "muni" was being outraged, because she claims as hearsay he touched her bum. In fact, perhaps the laws on outrage of modesty should be repealed so as not to give a woman any chances of alleging anyone falsely,not tin this case perhaps, but in general.

This is kinda funny. Muni is victim yet people are against her instead. As you all are aware, trains are very full pack, so tends to have body contact. But doesn't mean your hand will reach to the place that should'nt be touched. Even it is very full packed, I think the guy should be holding the pole or having his hands infront so as to make himself small enough for other people to squeeze in. We cannot deny that some guys won't take such opportunities to molest since it is quite of a good chance to act. So more or less, girls should be careful. Better to be safe than sorry. Isn't it?
