According to a STOMPer, this man was chasing people to donate money to him at the area between Woodlands Interchange and Causeway Point.
The STOMPer wondered why he was doing so, as he seemed healthy and did not look like he was in particular need of money.
In an email to STOMP today (Jan 5), the STOMPer wrote:
“This guy was seen at causeway point, chasing people to donate money to him.
“When a family with young kids walked pass, he stuffed something into the hand of the young kid, then ask the grandmother to donate or buy it.
“This is sad as he has hands and legs and he doesn't work and seems to be conning people in the street.
“As usual, they will say help the lower income etc.
“But they are not even a charity - how will or can they help? Or are they lining their own pockets?”
The STOMPer added:
“By the way, he is wearing a t-shirt that says ‘In God We Trust’.
“In this clip, he seems very werid because he knows that I am filming him.”
Haha, got leg got hand, beg for money. :/ Come on, go find a job! clean toilet also nevermind, at least you get paid!
Clear/clean tables or wash dishes - also can. He probably wants the easier & faster way. Sad.....
35% to the company..
20% to the upper line ( like mlm )
30% to that guy..
10% to 20% to watever so call charity...
Firstly it is not donate if he is asking people to buy.
Secondly, got hands and legs doesnt mean he is not handicapped. perhaps he got terminal disease?
It is not sad that those with hands and legs dont go work but there are many with hands and legs who wanted work but cannot find.
They do not have the luxury of this cameraman who may be earning easy money and so have time to go film people and accuse people of doing something wrong.
At least he did not rob or steal when he is jobless but selling things. Next time go take pics of insurance or credit card promoters and say "begging for customers" lah.
