A STOMPer saw this man, whom she described as an 'uncle', apparently behaving indecently with his partner in public.
She said he was setting a bad example for the young, who are always blamed for public displays of affection.
The STOMPer said:
"These pictures were taken on November 10 at Jurong West Blk 658D's Study Corner.
"They were there shortly after I reached at around 7:15pm and when I left at around 9pm, they were still there.
"At first the woman, who was younger, offered the uncle, who is in his 40s, some food contained in a box.
"After a while the uncle moved to sit beside the woman and they started hugging.
"There were times when they kissed and massaged each other.
"They were also touching but stopped when they saw me watching.
"This is not the first time I've seen uncles meeting these ladies from China at this particular study corner and I am deeply disturbed as toddlers, guardians and students always frequent that place to study or to sit and chat.
"This place is a study corner, not a smooching corner.
"The young ones are always reprimanded for being too intimate in public.
"Then what about the older ones? Shouldn't they be setting an example for us youngsters?
"Before looking into the matter of 'educating' us on moral values, shouldn't the public first look at these uncles who were also behaving inappropriately in public?
"I'm not trying to push the blame to them but they are also doing such things!
"Why is it that only the young ones are being dragged to face the public's criticism?"

As for kissing in public, if it offended you so greatly why did you not have the courage to say something instead of hiding behind the safety of your computer.
Also it's kind of sick to be taking photos of a couple having harmless fun is it not? Bring on more intimacy for older people... maybe Singaporeans would not be so stressed, might actually be happy and might have a life worthy of the economic prosperity we enjoy.
The only people who complain about public affection are those who do not have enough of it.
