Caught in the Act
Selfish teen acts blur and refuses to give up seat to woman with toddler

STOMPer Nelson is disgusted with this teen who ignored a woman carrying a toddler and standing right in front of him. The teen refused to give up the priority seat in the 6-station journey from Toa Payoh to Yishun.

In his email, the STOMPer says:

"This teen is abusing the priority seat.

"These photos were taken on the North South train on Oct 22 at around 4.30pm at Yishun Station.

"A women was standing in front of him carrying her toddler, and this teen sitting on the priority seat seems to be 'acting blur'.

"I observed him for most of the journey from Toa Payoh to Yishun, this teen simply refused to give up his seat. He continued to look at his handphone and PSP.

"This teen seems to be only 17-18 years old, and didn't give up his seat to the woman in her 40s, who is having a hard time carrying her toddler.

"I'm really very disgusted by this sight.

"I am truly saddened by the behaviour of Singaporean kids nowadays."

O.o....everyone now only complain this and that....older generation also do this....younger generation confirm follow. Parents over pamper children .....thus comes with "better" younger generations of sg ppl. Photographer how come nvr take initiative and approach the ppl sitting in the priority seat and ask politely if they mind giving up their seats to the more needy?

and pls, why is she standing in front of him in the first place when there are other places to stand? trying to pick on him by displaying her sympathetic situation? for goodness sake, such people whom only make use of their situation to cause pity should wake up their idea seriously

Firstly, giving up seats to people is a priority for them, not a right. Secondly, why are only teens targeted? I've seen many middle-aged men on priority seats (and even if they weren't) but they aren't expected to give up their seats. What's this bull**** about the younger generation? Discrimination. Thirdly, the dude might have really not noticed the lady. People, be less cowardy. If you think he should, ASK him to give up his seat. Maybe if he ignores that or argues then this STOMP post won't be as ridiculous.

It takes a lot of concentration to play that psp. The teen needs focus and of course seat, get it! He already wore his red lucky cap to win the game. Who would be responsible if he lost? The mother with the boy on her arm?
